Volunteer: Event Support Volunteer (The Table of Belonging, The Belonging Project)At the Table of Belonging Event Volunteer Community members are invited to help the City of SLO's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion create a welcoming and memorable experience at At the Table of Belonging, a community celebration hosted by the City and Sichuan Kitchen! This unique event brings together Cal Poly cultural clubs to share traditional dishes, customs, and stories from around the world, celebrating the diversity that makes our community stronger. We're looking for friendly volunteers to assist with event set-up, guest welcome, wayfinding, event flow, and clean-up, as well as a Volunteer Photographer to capture the vibrant energy of the day. Event Support Volunteers can sign up for one (or more) of three shifts: 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, 1:00-3:00 PM, or 3:00-5:00 PM. The Volunteer Photographer is needed between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Volunteers should enjoy interacting with people, be comfortable standing for a few hours, and wear comfortable, logo-free clothing suitable for an outdoor event. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, experience cultures from around the world, and help foster belonging in our community—plus, volunteers can enjoy a delicious food item from the event as a thank you!
