Celebrate Earth Day with the City of SLO!
Join City staff from the Office of Sustainability and Natural Resources and the Volunteer Program for a hands-on opportunity to care for our local natura spaces at Johnson Ranch Open Space.
Volunteers will help remove invasive plants to support ongoing habitat restoration on this beautiful landscape. Our staff will begin with a short overview on how to identify and safely remove invasive plant species, then we'll head out together to make a positive impact on the land.
This is great opportunity to get outside, give back, and celebrate Earth Day with - and in - community!
Who should join?
Everyone is welcome! Environmentally-minded individuals, students, work teams, clubs, and community groups are encouraged to participate.
