Love being outdoors and looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join the City of San Luis Obispo as a Laguna Lake Golf Course Maintenance Support Volunteer and help keep one of our community's most enjoyed recreational facilities looking its best.
Volunteers assist staff with light golf course maintenance projects, including tee box upkeep, course beautification, debris removal, and other hands-on projects as needed.
This active role is ideal for individuals who enjoy being outside, staying physically active, and being part of a team. Volunteers receive training from golf course staff and begin with a trial period to ensure the role is a good fit.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, and comfortable bending, kneeling, squatting, and working outdoors. Regular weekday availability of at least one shift per week (twice per week preferred) is requested for a minimum service commitment of six months. Volunteers in good standing earn one complimentary round of golf for every four hours of service completed. Please review the Volunteer Position Description for more information on the role, responsibilities, and expectations.
Help support Laguna Lake Golf Course while enjoying fresh air, learning new skills, and making a visible impact in your community. Staff will be in touch with respondents upon registration. Contact the Volunteer Program for support with registering: [email protected] or 805-858-0771 (call or text).
