Love local art and community events? Join the City of San Luis Obispo as a Meet the Artist Event Volunteer and help create a welcoming, enjoyable experience for artists and visitors alike at this year's event in beautiful Mission Plaza. As a Volunteer Floater, you'll provide a helping hand wherever it's needed, ensuring the event runs smoothly while supporting our vibrant local arts community.
Throughout the event, you'll assist with a variety of light tasks, including delivering water or snacks to artists, relocating signage, answering questions, and providing general event support. No previous experience is necessary—just a friendly attitude, a willingness to help, and enthusiasm for engaging with community members.
Volunteers should be comfortable walking and standing for up to three hours, bending or squatting as needed, and serving outdoors in comfortable, sun-appropriate attire.
This is a single-day volunteer opportunity on Saturday, October 3, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Mission Plaza. Volunteers must register on Engage SLO and await confirmation details from the Public Art Coordinator.
